3 Reasons Cruise Travel Has made a Comeback & Why You Should Book Now

Carnival Cruise at Sea

Travel is back! We are all excited to travel now, but it is hard to decide what to choose where or what your next vacation will be because there are so many choices!  One of the best options if you want a range of experiences all at one time is cruising!  Cruises are making a comeback since the COVID 19 pandemic, and it is even easier and more fun to go on a cruise now!

One main reason that cruising has made a comeback is that you no longer need to be vaccinated to cruise.  As most will recall, during the COVID 19 pandemic, cruising was shut completely down. Later, only those who proved they were vaccinated could cruise.  Now, regulations have changed for the better, and proof of vaccination is no longer required.

Another amazing reason that cruising has made a comeback are that passports (in most cases) are NOT required for cruises. Many of us get concerned about if the process of obtaining or renewing passports will hold us back from going on an amazing vacation. If you are a United States citizen and a cruise leaves from and returns to the SAME United States port—you don’t need a passport (even if the cruise stops in non-United States countries; and YES you can get off of the ship in those countries!). For instance, if you leave from Galveston, TX, and the cruise goes to the Bahamas and Jamaica, you can legally travel without a passport if you are a United States citizen, and you can get off the ship in those countries, if the ship returns to Galveston, TX at the end of the journey.

It is important to note that even if it is not required, it is RECOMMENDED to have a passport though just in case anything goes wrong while you are in destination.  This is mainly because you would need a passport to fly home from a destination if that became unexpectantly necessary. Our Travel Designers can guide you on all documentation that you need to cruise and get off at all of the ports!

One of the last (and most amazing) reasons that cruising has made a comeback are the inclusions!  Food and non-alcoholic drinks such as coffee, tea, lemonade, and fruit punch are included!  Trust me, the food is worth it! Entertainment is also included, such as comedy shows, broadway style shows, magic shows and more depending on the ship that you are on.

Now that you know how easy it is to cruise, how many wonderful inclusions are included, and that passports are not necessarily required for US citizens in many cases (as explained above), think of all the amazing places you can visit!  There are great itineraries from United States ports that go to Mexico, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and more!  So, what are you waiting for?  Ask us for a quote today!
